Current Product Obsessions (Hair and Makeup)

It is time to let you in on current favorite products that I am using almost daily in both my hair and makeup routine!

But first, I want to begin by saying that my “favorites” are nearly always changing based both on the season and what I have been able to purchase. A couple of the products I am going to share with you have been my favorites for a good 6 months now, but the others I have only recently started using and loving.

The reason I share this is because there should be no pressure when reading a blog post like this to get these products to have great results. I understand that we are all in different seasons of life with different amounts of cash to spend and different priorities.

Let this post be used as a guide as well as something to fall back on when you come to a point in time where you would like to purchase some new beauty products!

1. Beauty Counter Brightening Facial Mist

This product is definitely unique to my routine. I have never been interested in the “glowy” look, but recently I have been enjoying it!

This mist goes on either before or after your makeup.

If used before your makeup application, it acts as a primer that allows your makeup to go on smooth, leaving you with a soft glowy look.

If used after applying your makeup, it acts as a finishing, setting spray that again leaves a slight glow and helps keep your makeup looking fresh all day!

It is super light, but definitely goes on wet. I will spray it all over my face from about 5 inches away and then I will use my hands to fan my face to help it dry.

It has a gentle smell and overall feels super refreshing when I use it.

2. Two Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer

You all know I have been obsessed with Bare Minerals Concealer for a while, but I decided to switch it up and try this concealer… I was blown away by the results!

I use Two Faced Born This Way foundation and love it, so I thought why not try their concealer?

This product is designed to be used in multiple ways! Contour, highlighter, or even simple retouches is what it is designed for and the coverage is actually phenomenal.

I am using it simply as a concealer at this time, but I am strongly considering grabbing a different shade to use as a contour in the near future.

Additionally, something I love about this product is the applicator. It is HUGE! This makes it easy to be efficient with the product in all the right spots.

3. Maria Nila Quick Dry Heat Spray

I kind of feel like a broken record talking about this amazing brand. But I just can’t help it, they are that good!

This heat protectant is pretty much a 3-in-1 product:

It protects your hair from the heat whether it be your blow-dryer, curling iron, flat iron, or even the sun. On top of that, it accelerates the speed at which your hair dries… BONUS! And, as if those two facts weren’t enough, this product also contains AMAZING ingredients- it is 100% vegan, sulphate free, and it has a color guard complex which is going to ensure your color stays vibrant and locked in much longer!

As a stylist, I cannot stress enough how vitally important it is to be protecting your hair from the heat. You cannot and should not be using heat on your hair every day without some sort of barrier.

If you want long, healthy, split end-free, silky smooth and shiny hair, you have got to be protecting your hair against heat damage.

4. Maria Nila True Soft Argan Oil

This product is outstanding in its performance. Designed to be used on all hair types, it is an amazing, light weight oil that will add perfect shine and hydration to your ends.

I concentrate this product on my ends before I dry my hair, before I apply heat with hot tools, as well as after curling or flat ironing it.

Even after using it 3 times in one morning, it does not leave a heavy oily look. It simply adds a perfect shine and barrier against damage.

It also smells heavenly. The Maria Nila products that I have used have never disappointed with their smells.

If you are looking for a good oil that will not stain your hair, strip your color, lay heavy on your hair and still benefit you when it comes to smooth hydration, this is the oil to get.

Until next time,

Xoxo
