How You Can Add Shine To Your Hair

We all long for shiny hair and for some of us, it seems like something we will never be able to achieve especially after a color service involving bleach.

But what if I told you there is a way to achieve shiny hair by just adding a few game changers to your routine?

If you implement these 3 tips, you will see wonderful results to the shine in your hair.

1. Pick a quality dry oil and stick with it

This is not going to include conventional oils from the grocery store that are likely filled with parabens, sulphates and toxins that will either damage your hair further or do nothing at all.

I am talking oils such as Argan oil, Castor oil, Coconut oil, or even Macadamia oil.

I have a couple of favorite dry oils that top all and I will link them here:

Maria Nila True Soft Argan Oil

Olaplex 7 Bonding Oil

These are both weightless and nourishing, and they will make your hair feel and look shiny and hydrated.

They can both be used before and after blow-drying and styling your hair!

2. Blow dry your hair with a brush

I am bad for this one, I will be honest. Often times I feel like I would rather just blow dry my hair upside down with my fingers and get it done. But I know for a fact that if you truly want to see shine directly after your blow dry without having to flat iron or curl it, you must blow dry with a brush.

It does not have to be a round brush, but it needs to be a quality brush. Ideally it will have natural bristles.

Here are a couple of options for you:

Natural Boar Bristle Brush

Round Brush

3. Perform overnight conditioning treatments 1-2 times a month

Conditioning treatments are designed to penetrate deep into the cuticle and nourish your hair with longer lasting hydration.

Our hair is desperate for moisture and because of that, it often lacks shine. We are stripping our hair of oil by our hot water, hot tools, toxins in the air, shampoos, etc.

Performing a deep conditioning treatment a couple times a month will create a noticeable difference because you are replenishing your hair with lost nutrients.

Here is my absolute favorite deep conditioner .

Here is a little more price friendly option as it contains more.

I highly recommend adding this 3 steps to your routine. You will have happy, healthy, and shiny hair as a result!
